Runway to Real Life

With Fashion Week well underway across the globe (the infamous Milan starting this week, drool- I for one cannot wait to see what Pucci has in store!), London's Fashion Week ending a mere day ago, and of course New York Fashion week ending over a week ago,  you're probably noticing tons of new trends popping up in magazines, stores, and the internet (check back for my special full Fall 2010 trend report!).

Of course, these looks are amazing on the runway, but how do they look on real people?

How would real people wear this (Designed by Custo Barcelona)?

Exactly. The fashions are phenomenal, but sometimes us normal gals can't pull all of them off. But you'd be surprised what will work for your body type.

So here are my picks from NY Fashion week designers that I believe are totally wearable. Enjoy, lovelies!

Are you curvy?
Thank you, Ralph Lauren Collection. The similar neutral colors on top and dark on the bottom paired with the *I'm now seeing everywhere* boyfriend blazer that cuts right at your thighs will camouflage your insecurities. Pair with dark slim trousers. How sassy is that bag??

Or maybe you are tall & slim but maybe you have a bosom that makes you a little insecure...
DKNY offered up a great grey skirt suit adorned with brown leather trim. Show off your lengthy legs while the one button blazer drapes nicely to distract attention from your chest, and draws attention to the rest of your svelte body.

Are you under 5'3" and maybe some curves you're not sure how to show off?
This look by ADAM  broadens the shoulder width of the dress to match the slight a line of the skirt, only separated by a cinch at your waist with a belt. Your body will appear more symmetrical. Make sure the dress isn't too long though or the affect will be more matronly than heavenly.

Or maybe you have a petite build and aren't too curvy...
This number created by Diane Von Furstenberg is sure to lengthen your bod. With a skirt that is cut above the knee & pumps that elongate your legs even more so, you've just added a few inches on your height. Not to mention, your legs will look luscious.  Once again, the boyfriend blazer is back, layered over a high neck ruffled blouse that will add some va va voom to your maybe not as voluptuous chest .

Stay tuned for more to come on Fall fashion!
