Go Nude!

Tory Burch "Emma" Demi-Wedge Flats

Get your head out of the gutter, come on now!

I'm sure by now you've seen the nude (and tan) colors that all the fashion icons and designers are flaunting this spring. And if you haven't, please remove head from the rock it's under.

Seriously people, if there is one "trend" I am all for, this is it.

A nude shoe can not only match almost every color in your wardrobe, but it also lengthens your legs- remember get a shoe that matches or is close to your skin tone!

Being 25 weeks pregnant, I can no longer comfortably wear my coveted 4.5 inch stilettos all day (potentially if I am sitting somewhere or posing for a photo (because, you know that's something I do). However, I can still wear wedges. And who knew! Wedges are ALSO in for this spring. In either espadrille (read: yarn like soles) or solid sole form, these have been keeping me sane. I'm not a fan of flats all the time. I really, truly, am not. Sure, I love being comfortable, and certain flats are adorable and all, but when I wear a spring dress that hits below my knee, I find that my legs look like tree stumps in flats (and it's certaintly not flip flop weather yet here in Massachusetts). Wedges have been making me happy.

Here are some ideas and shoe candy for you all. Get out there. Buy yourself some nudes. Some stilettos if you can flaunt it, a pair or two of wedges for sure, and maybe even a pair of flats for when your tootsies hate you.

Designer Worth Sharing: BCBG Max Azria

If there is one designer out there that has designed the most clothes for the every day women...I have to say it's Max Azria.
BCBG, meaning Bon Chic, Bon Genre (or rather, Good Style, Good Attitude) is stated well for this line.
Today I will share some of my favorites from the Fall 2010 (think all the b's: blacks, browns, blues, and beige) and Spring 2011 lines (think cream, brights like yellow and orange, and black); I think you'll see why they are made for the every day woman.

This dress is flowy and simple. The neckline means it is wearable to work, and the asymmetric line is modern and edgy.
I love love love this cape. For a while, I was very hesitant to embrace the cape culture that is Fall 2010, but this is one I would actually wear; with the contrasting color closure; the navy and military green color combination is a must in all wardrobes.
I love the simplicity of these two outfit- in the first one, love how navy and black are no longer black and blue and bruised all over. I think the distracting glimmer surrounding the navy helps with this. In the second, that shirt is amazing! Both blouses can be dressed up or down.

Now, the Spring 2011 line gives me something to look forward to!
There is one word that describes the spring according to Mr. Azria, and it's SHEATH!
All these dresses that are featured get me excited!

Jokingly, only 6-8 months until us gals in the North East can wear these adorable pieces. Lucky for us, we have some pretty sweet dresses, pants, and blouses to wear in the meantime.

Spring Forward- A Look at Louis!

But Fall just started you said!
I know, I know. But this gets me excited.

Louis Vuitton not only showcases irresistible handbags and accessories, but the clothes ain't so bad either.

Let's look forward to LV's Spring 2011 RTW collection, shall we?

This look, by Louis Vuitton, with the color block patterns, will be knocked off in every which direction- for you to purchase. The slit too high cut for you? No problem. I bet you that designers will be making shift dresses, tunics, and sexy tanks with this style of color blocking. But horizontal stripes? On me? I wouldn't worry too much. Provided the color blocks are far apart and not tiny horizontal stripes, I think you'll be fine- buy something that has a flattering cut for your figure and you can wear almost anything.
Actually...Come to think of it...I think I had a dress or two in my tweens like this (sans the slit).

Scared to purchase some animal print (read zebra stripes) this fall for fear you will never wear it again? Think again; long maxi on the runway (ahem, or is that a strapless jumpsuit!) equates to an easy real model wardrobe want.

Or maybe you want to some color to those zebra stripes? The design of this number is sure to be a success in the stores- and completely turn heads when it hugs your hourglass figure.

Now, onto a very lady like look- that features one of my favorite color combinations-brown and pink!  The first dress here is beautiful and lady like, without being too floral.

LOVE the loose fit of this dress and the handkerchief look of skirt- stunning- and so flattering on various body types.

Overall, I think the collection is stunning & screams vibrant color (think purples, reds, pinks); femininity, and uniqueness. I'll be finding styles like this in a store near me.
